A Day At Buntina's Shop
My friend Ernesto and I went to pay a visit to "Butina" one of the most talented fabricators I have ever met.
If it's made of metal, you can be sure this guy can bring it back to life.
I was fortunate enough to spend a few hours with two of the most knowledgeable guys when it comes to vintage bikes.
Saw some pretty obscure gems, drank coffee and listened to some incredible stories of days gone by.
Should have brought a more capable camera, but the iPhone shots should give an idea of what this place is like.
Walking in here is like stepping back in time some 60-70 years. nothing there reminds you of the 21st century.
Butina still does rely on his hands and acetylene torch, files and hammer to do most of his work.
Hand maks his tools, and makes do with very little, just like our grandfathers did.
Can't wait go go back there in a few weeks and see what his done to my BSA gas tank.
